Hurricane Johnson has been providing top quality entertainment approaching 15 years. Entertaining folks from Richmond, the Northern Neck and Northern Virginia. The original players are Hurricane Johnson, Notorious REV Blue Lou and EZ Sparks. A change in personnel occurred in 2001 with the departure of EZ Sparks. EZ Sparks departure was a sad one for all, however, it did allow him to spend the time to develop a relationship with loved one "Kitten".
Quickly Hurricane Johnson adopted the well renowned drummer, Dr. Li Schtrong. He is equally as handsome, a ladies' man, plays with infinite precision and sings like a canary.
With over 500 performances, Hurricane Johnson has endured change but always committed to providing quality "live" entertainment for several more years.
Yes it is! Hurricane was born during this country's most violent and destructive hurricane. His Mama, Miss Johnson, not sure if he would even survive, decided to name him after the storm. However, not knowing the actual name of the storm, she called him Hurricane. Hurricane has not had it easy growing up with that name. Other children would often tease him and call him "Tornado", "Cyclone", "Bob" and "Typhoon". His endurance to these personal attacks hardened him and made him one of the guitar players of our time.
You decide! Dr. Li was a gynecologist before gynecology was popular. Regretfully, he never did attend medical school. Most of his technical training was acquired lurking behind stairwells during his last 5 years of high school and the time he spent at co-ed dormitories in the universities he proclaims to have attended. You could say his Doctorate is in music. His drumming abilities certain-Li set him apart from any of the others.

A Hurricane Johnson Contractor is a musician that sits in with the band on occasion on a given gig or two. To be considered an HJ Contractor, the individual must be handsome, sweet and neat in his or her appearance. Talent is not critical to the mission but helps one secure the Contractor position. Currently, "EZ Sparks" aka "E2K" and sometimes referred to as "E2000" is a regular Contractor with the HJ Project. He happens to fit the mold and is a formidable musician. E2K once was a regular member of the HJ Project, however, was distracted by matters of the heart and dropped from the scene. You'll have to ask him to elaborate regarding his resurrection.
